Ottawa Hills' Jamieson tops 1,000 career points

Katherine Jamieson scored 15 points to push her career total past 1,000 as Ottawa Hills defeated Swanton 60-21 last night in girls basketball.

Jamieson has 1,009 points to join her sister Megan (1,013), who was present, as the only sisters in school history to reach the mark.

Lauren Abendroth tallied 20 points for Ottawa Hills (17-1).

The Bulldogs fell to 4-16.

DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 72,

WAITE 56

Detroit Country Day, which has won the last two Michigan Class B state titles, handed Waite a home loss.

The Yellowjackets (15-0) used a 21-9 finish. Amber Deane scored 22 points while Aeriel Powers had 21 and Imari Redfield 14 for Country Day. Madison Williams, a 6-6 senior who has signed with Michigan State, collected eight points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks.

Natasha Howard posted 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Waite (16-2).

SPRINGFIELD 56, GENOA 32

GENOA - The Blue Devils used an 18-5 second-quarter run to claim the win.

Danisha Brown scored 14 points and Briaunna Nix added 11 to lead Springfield (13-5).

Bailee Adams had 12 points and Alyssa Meis 11 for the Comets (14-4).

BOWLING GREEN 59, MAUMEE 31

BOWLING GREEN - Hayley Williford scored 16 points, and Bethany Hoehner added 14 for the Bobcats (7-11, 3-9 NLL).

The Panthers (2-15, 1-11) were led by Maddie Walker's 10 points.

Becca Bisbee scored 15 points and Shayna Hague had 11 to lead Northwood (7-10, 4-5 TAAC).

ARCHBOLD - Alyssa Schaub finished with 13 points to lead Archbold (16-2).

Alexis Pierce scored 10 to lead the Indians (15-3).

BLOOMDALE - Cassi Papenfus and Lauren Geroski each had 10 points to lead the Mohawks to the road win.

Liz Kreais scored seven points to top Elmwood (2-15).

LAKESIDE - The Lakers used a 16-8 fourth-quarter to claim the victory.

Heather Bahnsen finished with 17 points, while Tori England added 11 for Danbury (10-9, 7-4 TAAC).

Bethany Critchley had 14 to lead the Eagles (12-7, 7-3 TAAC). Abbey Fox and Kara Segler added 12 and 11, respectively.
