Sidelines: Napoleon girls win bowling district, 12th at state

Napoleon's girls team finished 12th at the state bowling tournament at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe.

The Wildcats rolled a 2,528 series, a little more than 100 pins shy of qualifying for the finals. Napoleon was runner-up to Coldwater in the district at Interstate Lanes.

Napoleon was led by sophomore Rachael Gill, who rolled a 186-187-164—537 series to tie for 41st overall. Close behind were teammates Danielle Williams, a junior, and sophomore Victoria Gonzalez with scores of 523 and 519, respectively.

On the boys side, junior Mike Pedro ofAnthony Wayne tied for 47th in the individual competition with a 173-182-212—567 series.
