Northwood roars over N. Baltimore

NORTHWOOD 66, NORTH BALTIMORE 42

The Rangers got off to a quick start, outscoring the Tigers 42-19 in the first half en route to a victory Wednesday.

Zack Wielinski led Northwood (2-5) with 18 points. John Romstadt had 15 and Ricky Hartley scored 10.

Tyler Sthloemp led North Baltimore (2-5) with 13 points while Tommy Hillard added 12.

ST. JOHN'S 64, RICHMOND VARINA 48

RICHMOND, VA.--The Titans (7-1) blew open a close game in the fourth quarter as Cheatham Norrils' passes found Nick Felhaber who got eight of his 14 points in the period.

Marc Loving had 14 and Zach Steinmetz 13 for St. John's.

The Titans won two of three at the Capital Classic. Loving was picked for the all-tournament team. For Varina (4-5) QuVaughn Jones had 18.

WAITE 65, LIMA SHAWNEE 61

Waite took a commanding 49-37 lead after three quarters, then held off a spirited Lima Shawnee attack in the final quarter where Waite was outscored 24-16.

Courtney Walker and Marquia Finch each scored 15 points to lead Waite, which also got 10 points from Janae Kenney.

Hailey Griffin and Samantha Dervicevic of Shawnee shared game-high scoring honors with 21 each.

BEDFORD 46, AIRPORT 31

CARLETON, Mich. -- The Mules won the Airport Christmas Tournament with a victory over the host Jets.

Ashley Sperling led Bedford (5-0) with 14 points while Lindsey Shepherd added 11 points, and Robin Brown chipped in 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Ashley Owens had 12 points for Airport (3-2).

LAKE 37, FOST. ST. WENDELIN 28

FOSTORIA -- Lake won its ninth straight game of the season, with Kaysie Brittenham leading all scorers with 19 points. She also pulled down eight rebounds. Carla Huston added 14 for the Flyers.

Colleen Fondessy led St. Wendelin with nine points

NEWARK 51, CENTRAL CATHOLIC 37

NEWARK -- Central Catholic experienced a second-half scoring drought, scoring only four points in the third period and eight in the fourth after leading at the end of the first half 25-24.

Brianna Rogers paced the Irish with 10 points.

PALM BEACH, FLA. -- After losing their first game Tuesday in their Florida tour, Owens Community College women (14-2) defeated Broward College 83-62 Wednesday. The Express wind up their trip with a game this morning against Palm Beach County Community College.

Aja Hall led Owens with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Brittany Morris added 13 points and seven rebounds.

In a game played at Owens, the Express men roared off to a 26-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but couldn't hold their advantage, falling 80-78 to Muskegon CC.

Owens was outscored 42-25 in the middle two quarters. The Express trailed two with just 20 seconds left, but Muskegon held on for the victory.

Tommy Kralovic paced Owens (6-9) with 18 points, Cal Edwards had 17, Derick Sanderfer 13, and Kendall Frank 12. Ricardi Stimmage and Josh Weatherspoon each scored 20 for Muskegon.
