CITY LEAGUE BOYS: Davis scores 28 as Rebels defeat Eagles

Robert Davis tallied 28 points to lead the Rebels to a City League boys basketball victory Friday night at Clay.

Bowsher (9-3, 4-2 CL) scored 27 points in the second quarter to take a 45-30 halftime lead.

Milan Mabry added 19 points, Lonacy Utley 15, Mookie Mustafaa 11, and Maurice Birdsong 10 for the Rebels.

Clay (1-11, 1-5) also had five scorers in double figures led by Ross Achter's 20 points. Kevin Gaskins had 14 points, Derek Belkofer 13, Doug Waldmannstetter 12, and Anthony Jones 11.

Drew Lehman led the Irish (9-3, 5-2) with 20 points.

Dareon Jones had 17 points, 11 at the free-throw line as Central made 25 of 41 foul shots to Start's 16 of 24.

Maurice Taylor paced the Spartans (6-5, 3-3) with 17 points.

Travon Howard came off the bench to score 14 points for the Indians (3-8, 2-4).

The Knights (3-10, 1-6) were led by Danny Yodzis with nine.

Dontonio Kynard scored 15 points and Donovan McClain 10 to lead visiting Scott (3-8, 3-4 CL).

Jalen Wells led Woodward (2-10, 0-6) with 11 points.
