NLL BOYS: Orr sets BG's career record, tops Almanson as all-time scorer

BOWLING GREEN -- Chauncey Orr scored 19 points Friday night and became Bowling Green's all-time leading scorer in a Northern Lakes League boys basketball victory over Rossford.

Orr has 1,258 points, topping the previous record of 1,256 set by Josh Almanson in 2000.

Xavier Brown added 19 points for the Bobcats (12-2, 9-0 NLL), while Alex Augsburger had 10.

Josh Perry led Rossford (3-11, 1-9) with 24 points.

Trailing 27-24 at halftime, Springfield fought back for the road victory.

The Blue Devils (9-4, 6-3 NLL) outscored Anthony Wayne 20-12 in the decisive third quarter and were led by Leroy Alexander and Chester McFadden, who finished with 26 and 21 points, respectively.

Jake Conklin had 18 points for the Generals (3-10, 2-8), while Mark Donnal chipped in with 12 points.

Shawn Flanagan led Maumee (8-7, 5-5 NLL) with 13 points. The Panthers led 21-16 at half, but broke away with an 18-8 edge in the third quarter.

Conner Hartnett had 11 points for Northview (2-10, 1-8).

Kevin Schenk hit a 3-pointer with about a minute to go to ensure a victory for the Yellow Jackets (9-5, 8-2 NLL).

Jake Pfleghaar scored 13 for Perrysburg, which erased a 25-20 Southview halftime lead by outscoring the Cougars 20-9 in the third quarter.

Allen Gant scored 21 for the Cougars (8-6, 6-3).
