SLL: Smith tallies 27 points as Flyers knock off Eagles

PEMBERVILLE — Rashard Smith pumped in 27 points for the Flyers to lead the Flyers to a Suburban Lakes League boys basketball victory Friday night.

Josh Tantari added 18 as Lake (10-8, 6-5 SLL) overcame a 42-40 deficit after the third quarter.

Eastwood's Justin Faykosh scored 12 for the Eagles (6-11, 5-5).


Gibsonburg 55, Genoa 39
GENOA — Leading by just two after three quarters, Gibsonburg pulled away in the fourth quarter by outscoring Genoa 23-9.

Gage Beaber led the Golden Bears (8-9, 5-5) with 18 points, and Nate Yarborough had 10.

Joey Newland topped Genoa (6-13, 1-10) with 10 points.
