Coach: Matt Kregel, seventh year

Last season: 6-4, 4-3 NLL

Returning letter winners: 21

Returning starters: Offense 7, defense 5

Schemes: Spread/4-3

Top players: Seniors Steve Slocum, 6-2, 190, QB; Austin Bishop, 6-2,195 WR; Austin Lee, 6-2, 185, WR; Ian Wagner, 5-11, 175, WR. Junior Mark Delas, 6-0, 210, RB/LB.

Outlook: The Yellow Jackets field a team of 68 players, including a league-high 25 seniors.

Slocum, a dynamic threat at QB, returns for his third season. He threw for 1,535 yards and 16 touchdowns. Slocum added 509 yards and six TDs on the ground.

His top target will once again be Bishop (640 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns). Bishop averaged 25.6 yards per catch to earn All-NLL first team. He also rushed for 197 yards.

Lee returns at wideout (288 yards receiving) along with Wagner (328 yards).

A Slocum has started at QB every year for Perrysburg dating back to 2007 when Matt Slocum started.

"We'll look to stretch the field with Austin Bishop and Austin Lee at receiver while balancing with a strong running game," Kregel said.

Perrysburg has four running backs that could potentially start.

Delas made 49 tackles last season.

"Defensively, we're looking to mature quickly and stifle opposing rushers," Kregel said.

But the Jackets lost All-Ohio defensive lineman Micah Carter and linebacker Forrest Manning to graduation.

The Yellow Jackets are seeking their first NLL title since 2006.
