NBC: Bulldogs' rushing attack knocks down Flyers

Rossford 41, Lake 16

Rossford used a strong rushing attack to pull away Friday night from visiting Lake in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.

Ian Stolar carried 16 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns and Ryan Clay rushed 14 times for 95 yards and two TDs for the Bulldogs (4-3, 2-2). Clay added 140 yards rushing and threw a 26-yard TD strike to Steven Nordhaus.

Jared Rettig threw for 241 yards on 48 passsing attempts for Lake (2-5, 1-3). Nick Walsh scored twice on runs from one yard out.

Otsego 42, Woodmore 12

TONTOGANY — Ryan Smoyer threw for four touchdowns and passed for 255 yards for Otsego, which took a 28-6 lead at halftime.

Smoyer completed 17 of 27 passes and was intercepted once. Smoyer connected with Nate Hackworth for a pair of touchdowns, including a 40-yard scoring pass, while A.C. Limes scored a pair of touchdowns, including a 48-yard blocked punt return.

Schyler Scherff and Cody Downs also scored touchdowns for Otsego (4-3, 3-1)

Tony Rozzi finished with 88 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries for Woodmore (3-4, 1-3). Woodmore quarterback Jake Matwiejczyk went 16 of 31 passing for 110 yards and was intercepted twice.

Eastwood 61, Fostoria 6

PEMBERVILLE — The Eagles ran for seven touchdowns and piled up 314 rushing yards.

Isaiah Conkle returned the opening kickoff for a 86-yard touchdown and Eastwood (4-3, 4-0) continued to roll to a 41-0 halftime lead.

Brent Schlumbohm led the Eagles with 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Conkle scored on a 1-yard run, Jake Schmeltz ran for a 13-yard score, Devin Snowden ran for touchdowns of 11 and 12 yards and Michael Glaze closed the scoring with 10-yard touchdown dash. Adam Wolf also scored ona fumble recovery.

Keanu Crowe led Fostoria (0-7, 0-4) with 110 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

Genoa 53, Elmwood 6

BLOOMDALE— Kyle Nutter rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns and Genoa’s rushing game dominated on the way to a blowout victory.

Nutter carried the ball 25 times and scored from 1, 10. 1, and 15 yards out. Cody Pickard, Kyle Edwards and Ryan Espinoza added touchdown runs for the Comets (7-0, 4-0). Espinoza ran for 33 yards and Pickard added 26 yards on the night. Genoa also recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown.

The only score for Elmwood (3-4, 1-3) came on a 19 yard pass from Zach Foster to Aaron Arnold.
