Perrysburg Yellow Jackets begin season with win over Northview

Perrysburg 53, Northview 32

Sarah Baer had 13 points and Allex Brown scored 12 as the Yellow Jackets won their season opener.

Maddie Cole scored eight for the Wildcats in their first game of the season.

Southview 57, Springfield 52

At Springfield, the Cougars outscored the Blue Devils 9-4 in the overtime session. Bailey Hejl led the way with 17 points while Sarah Kelpzig added 11 and Lauren Huntsman 10 for Southview. Sydney Powhida’s 17 points paced Springfield while Natalie Yoder contributed 16.

Lake 43, Swanton 35

SWANTON — Alyssa Shaffer scored 11 points to help the Flyers (2-0) notch a victory over Swanton.

Bethann Lumbrezer led all scorers with 20 points for the Bulldogs (0-2).

St. Ursula 56, Woodward 45

The Arrows won their opener at home as Megan Burns scored 15 points.

K’Shawna Barnett of the Polar Bears led all scorers with 29 points.

Ottawa Hills 47, Rossford 35

The Green Bears opened at home and captured the victory as Allie Dewire scored 14 points, had six steals and dished out four asissts.

For Rossford (1-1), Julie Hotz scored 11 points and Alaina Mitchell added 10.

Anthony Wayne 64, Bowling Green 59

BOWLING GREEN — Megan Bedard led Anthony Wayne (1-1, 1-0) with 14 points. Steph Zankel added 13 and Jasmine Bonivel had 12.

Kelsey Morlock paced Bowling Green (1-1, 0-1) with 21 points while Hanna Williford chipped in 12 and Libby Dill 11.

Archbold 50, Wauseon 44

WAUSEON—Taylor Coresel paced the Blue Streaks with 16 points and Jesse Fidler chipped in with 12.

For Wauseon, Annette Stidham tossed in 15 points with Alyssa Reed adding 11.

New Riegel 48, Woodmore 40

Host Woodmore fell behind 15-9 after the first quarter and struggled to catchup as Taylor Kirian (15 points), Kara Scherger (12), and Lauren Ladd (12) led the way for New Riegel.

Grace Weirich paced the Wildcats (1-2) with 14 points while Allie Wank chipped in 11.

Evergreen 66, Otsego 61

TONTOGANY — Haili Mussing poured in 30 points to lead the Vikings past the Knights in overtime. Kendalyn Noe scored 18 points for Evergreen while Hannah Machacek added 10.

Jessica Roberts led Otsego with 23 points while Morgan McCullough scored 11 points.

Tiffin Columbian 51, Fremont Ross 49

FREMONT — Abbi Hassselbach and Kiera Hall each had 10 points for the Little Giants (1-1) in a double overtime loss to Tiffin Columbian.

Jocelyn Cole had 18 points for Columbian while Michaela Miller had 10.

Ayersville 50, Montpelier 32

AYERSVILLE — Molly Hammersmith scored 15 points and Emily Cramer added 12 for the Pilots.

Hannah Blake led Montpelier with 16 points.
