Austin Gardner scored 21 points and Marc Loving added 20 to lift St. John’s to a home win Saturday night in boys basketball.

Esa Ahmad scored 18 to lead Shaker Heights.

Fremont Ross 50, Waite 41

Alex Metcalf led the Little Giants (1-0) with 11 points in a road victory.

Taywyn Mason led the Indians (0-2) with 14 points.


Northview 56, Rossford 45

Connor Hartnett’s 24 points spurred the Wildcats at home.

Derek Mack scored 14 points to lead Rossford.


Woodmore 56, Woodward 50

ELMORE — Donny Bowen had 27 points and 11 rebounds to help the Wildcats notch a victory. Brad Flick added 15 points for Woodmore (1-0).

Romoan Fane led Woodward (1-1) with 16 points while Tahron Watson had 10.


Emmanuel Christian 52, Monclova Christian 20

Ryan Creech scored 18 points to lead Emmanuel (2-0).

Trevor Hester’s 12 points paced Monclova (1-1).


Evergreen 59, North Central 41

METAMORA — Cory Mossing scored 19 points, Matt Brighton poured in 13, and Dylan Henricks added 11 to lead Evergreen to victory.

Jalen Dancer paced North Central with 16 points.


Otsego 59, Swanton 53

SWANTON — Tommy Rodgers led Otsego with 17 points. A.C. Limes added 13 points, and John Thomas scored 11.

Paul Kennedy scored 12 for Swanton. Vernon Williams added 11.


Maumee Valley 46, Fayette 45

FAYETTE — Davey Brown scored 21 and Caleb Willhight added 13 to lead Maumee Valley to a tight win.

Chandler Sanford led Fayette with 16 points.


Tiffin Columbian 54, Port Clinton 36

TIFFIN — Derek Dryfuse scored 16 points to lead Tiffin Columbian to victory.

Carter Rumball led Port Clinton with six points.


Archbold 55, Wauseon 53

ARCHBOLD — Zeb Frank hit a runner with one second left to give Archbold a close victory. Tyson Dietrich scored 21 points, and Evan Wyse added 16 for Archbold.

Collin Bzovi led Wauseon with 18 points.


Ottawa-Glandorf 80, Bryan 32

BRYAN — T.J. Metzger scored 20 points, Michael Rosebrock added 15, and Noah Bramlage poured in 14 in an easy road victory for Ottawa-Glandorf.

 

GIRLS

Waite 65, Dayton Meadowdale 42

The Indians won at home as Kre’Ana Henry scored 22 points and hauled in 11 rebounds.

Latesha Craig added 13 points and 15 rebounds for Waite (1-2), while Ramiah Henry scored 11 points.

Meadowdale (0-2) was paced by Jala Henderson and Darnesha Wesly, each with 11 points.


Emmanuel Christian 43, Monclova Christian 38

Mackenzie McCauley and MyMy Allen each had 12 points to lead the Warriors to a home win.

Jessie Holtzscher had 13 points and Elizabeth Keiser added 10 for Monclova Christian.


Scott 59, Highland Park 27

Satoya Rivers and Erica Besteder each scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs.
