St. John’s 69, Detroit Jesuit 49

DETROIT — St. John’s Jesuit held a seven-point lead at half and extended it to 18 points after three quarters in boys basketball on Saturday.

Marc Loving scored a game-high 23 points for St. John’s (2-0), while Austin Gardner chipped in with 18.

Freshman Cassius Winston paced Detroit Jesuit with 15 points.

Bowsher 97, Leipsic 79

The Rebels led by five after three quarters at home, then scored 38 points in the final quarter.

Bowsher (4-0) was led by Dajuan King’s 27 points, Nate Allen added 25, Aundre Kizer 13, and Cameron White 11.

Leipsic (1-1) was paced by Devin Mangas’ 21 points.

Huber Heights Wayne 70, Bowling Green 60

BOWLING GREEN — Four players scored in double figures for Bowling Green (2-1), but the Bobcats came up short in the end.

Vitto Brown scored 17 points, LaMonta Stone added 13, Evan Gardner scored 12, and Andrew Herringshaw scored 11 for the Bobcats.

Ahmad Wagner and Crisshawn Clark each scored 13 to pace Huber Heights Wayne (4-0).

Maumee 59, Rossford 25

The visiting Panthers (2-0) used big second (14-4) and third (19-0) quarters to rout Rossford.

Dominique King led Maumee with 16 points.

The Bulldogs’ Mack Miller and Hector Aguirre scored six.

Northview 65, Eastwood 38

PEMBERVILLE — The Wildcats led 29-18 at the half and never looked back.

Conner Hartnett had 18 points for Northview (2-1), while Adam Downing added 10. Eastwood (0-3) was led by Jake Smeltz’s 19 points.

Fremont Ross 66, Start 60

Alex Metcalf led four Fremont Ross players in double figures with 14 points to ensure a road win.

Jarvis Jones scored 13 points, Drew Solander scored 12, and Tyler Wolf added 11 for the Little Giants.

Scottie Hicks led Start with 16 points, Dion Ivery added 15, and Keith Foreman chipped in with 10.

Wauseon 74, Fairview 34

WAUSEON — The Indians outscored the visitors 17-0 in the first quarter and led 33-6 at the half.

Michael Hammons scored a game-high 14 points for the Indians. Collin Bzovi added 12, and Noah Castle had 11 for Wauseon.

Andy Guilford paced Fairview with 12 points.

Bedford 71, Southview 50

TEMPERANCE — The Mules won their opener, outscoring the Cougars in the second half 35-24.

Jackson Lamb fired in 30 points, and Jeremy Harris added 14 for Bedford.

Matt Morrison’s 18 points led Southview (0-3).

Woodmore 68, Port Clinton 59

ELMORE — Donny Bowen poured in 22 points to help Woodmore (2-1).

Jake Lewandowski scored 16 points and Brad Flick added 12 for the Wildcats.

Kalib Sheets scored 12 points to pace Port Clinton (0-3) and Brock Moore added 10.

Evergreen 61, Otsego 36

METAMORA — Dylan Henricks knocked down six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points.

Cory Mossing also added 19 for Evergreen (3-0).

A.C. Limes scored 15 for Otsego (2-1).

Antwerp 36, Fayette 29

FAYETTE — Derek Smalley and Braden Hormann each had 12 points to lead Antwerp.

Koby Biddix and Cole Burkholder paced Fayette (2-2) with eight points each.

Lima Temple 71, Monclova Christian 32

Zeke Bolon scored 16, Justin Kroehler 14, Andrew Rhoad 12, and Evan Sutton 11 for visiting Lima.

Tom LaChance had 16 for the Thunder aided by Trevor Hester's 11.
