Double-doubles lift Trojans to win: McQueen, Stanfield carry Findlay; Whitmer, Clay post TRAC victories

Findlay 62, Lima Senior 45

FINDLAY — Christina McQueen and Taylor Stanfield each posted double-doubles in a home girls basketball win Thursday night.

Findlay (10-3, 6-1 Three Rivers Athletic Conference) hit 7 of 14 shots from 3-point range. McQueen had 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Stanfield scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. McQueen also blocked four shots.

Nicole Muehl led all scorers with 16 points, while Zoe Swisher added 11 for the Trojans.

Indiya Benjamin and Stacia Allen each had 11 points for Lima Senior (7-5, 3-3).

Whitmer 53, Fremont Ross 34

FREMONT — Abigail Sarabia scored a game-high 17 points for the Panthers (8-4, 4-3 TRAC), while Keshyra McCarver chipped in with 14 points.

Ariana Spencer paced the Little Giants (2-9, 0-7) with 12 points.

Clay 65, St. Ursula 51

The Eagles, playing at home, made the most of abundant free throw opportunities.

Clay (4-10, 2-5 TRAC) converted 41 of 58 from the line, with Kayla Schaefer, who finished with 21 points, going 19 for 26. Morgan Connor added 16 points for the Eagles, including 7 for 8 from the line.

Shelby Livenkugal topped the Arrows (4-7, 1-6) with 13 points. St. Ursula was 21 of 35 from the charity stripe.

Wauseon 76, Liberty Center 34

WAUSEON — Annette Stidham scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Indians to a Northwest Ohio Athletic League victory.

Natalie Koenig (11 points), Alyssa Reed (11) and Maddie Riches (10) also scored in double digits for Wauseon (8-4, 5-0 NWOAL), which led 44-17 at halftime.

Niki Meyer led Liberty Center with 14 points.

Archbold 51, Swanton 35

SWANTON — The Blue Streaks remain undefeated in the NWOAL, running their mark to 5-0 and 13-1 overall.

Taylor Coressel led the way for Archbold with 15 points while Cassidy Wyse chipped in with 10.

Bethann Lumbrezer paced the Bulldogs (5-7, 2-3) with nine points.

Patrick Henry 49, Bryan 34

HAMLER — Kelsey Tietje scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Patriots on their home court.

Patrick Henry (11-0, 4-0 NWOAL) outrebounded the Golden Bears 37-17.

Hannah Schimmoeller paced Bryan (6-5, 1-3) with 12 points.

Delta 61, Montpelier 51

MONTPELIER — The Panthers hit more 3-point field goals (12) than 2-point field goals (nine) to win their NWOAL game.

Victoria Burdo scored 15 points on five 3-pointers for Delta. Brigan Wymer (16 points), Abbie Harris (12), and Morgan Mattimore (10) also scored in double digits.

Baylee Hageman (17 points), Aleah Maas (12), Lauren Dye (10), and Hannah Blake (10) led the Locomotives in scoring.

Cardinal Stritch 48, Gibsonburg 41

GIBSONBURG — The Cardinals (7-5, 4-3 Toledo Area Athletic Conference) behind Kali Hardy’s 14 points and Cecelia Gozdowski’s 12 win in overtime.

Danielle Fork scored 11 for the Golden Bears (5-7, 3-3).

Monclova Christian 39, Washtenaw Christian 33

Monclova won at home as Rachel Keiser scored 14 points, and Elizabeth Keiser and Jessie Holtzsher added seven apiece.

Rachel Ballantyne paced Washtenaw with 15 points.

Northwood 36, Maumee Valley 31

The Rangers get the road win as Megan Raoch had 12 points. Katie Martin scored 10 for the Hawks.
