Mark Donnal recently became just the second boys basketball player in Anthony Wayne history to score 1,000 points.

The 6-foot-10 senior post player, who has signed to play at Michigan, has 1,096 career points. He is averaging 20.1 points and 10.0 rebounds this season.

Donnal also has 564 career rebounds and is chasing the school records held by Dick Albaugh Jr. (1972-75) who had 1,356 points and 597 rebounds.

"I think it is an outstanding achievement when any basketball player reaches the 1,000-point milestone," AW coach Bryan Borcherdt said. "Mark has played four years of varsity basketball and it is a credit to him and all of his teammates that he has played with."
