Free throw by Mass helps Cardinals win

McCarver lifts Whitmer past BG in OT

Abby Mass made a free throw with 1.6 seconds remaining Saturday to lift the Cardinals at home in Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls basketball game.

Mass finished with 12 points, while Cecelia Gozdowski led Stritch (8-7, 5-4 TAAC) with 14. Maggie Merren added 12.

Michelle Healy and Olivia VanSlooten topped the Green Bears (8-6, 6-3) with 12 points apiece. Lilly Petro added 11.

Whitmer 61,Bowling Green 60

Keshyra McCarver’s two free throws in overtime were the difference as the Panthers prevailed at home.

McCarver also paced Whitmer (11-5) with 28 points while Samantha Meinen chipped in with 18.

Hanna Williford’s 15 points led the Bobcats (9-6) with Livvy Dill contributing 14.

Edgerton 48,Liberty Center 40

LIBERTY CENTER — The Bulldogs win behind Devin Stark with 15 points and Jamiee Newman who had 10.

Niki Meyer pumped in 27 for the Tigers.

Toledo Christian 52, Maumee Valley 17

Faith Johnson scored 15, Darian Westmeyer 11, and Bethany Kollmorgen and Lydia Yeager 10 each for the Eagles.

Kennedie Jackson led the Hawks with seven.

Evergreen 77,Woodward 56

Haili Mossing scored 27 points and Carly Truckor added 17 to help Evergreen (8-7) to a road win.

K'Shauna Barnett scored 33 points to pace Woodward (3-12).

St. Ursula 44, Wayne (Ind.) 39

Megan Burns paced St. Ursula (6-8) with 12 points in a home win.

Marge Rode and Shelby Linenkugel added 10 points each.

Joey Stanford and Demeria Griffin each had seven points to lead Wayne (6-9).

Oak Harbor 48, Huron 32

OAK HARBOR — Maria Boers scored 17 points and Abby Gezo added 16 to pace Oak Harbor.

Ashley Myers led Huron with nine points.

Sandusky 54, Bowsher 36

Aschelle Smith-Crager scored 19 points to lead the visiting Blue Streaks.

Azyah Smith-Crager chipped in with 10 points for Sandusky (1-12).

Isis Dixon paced Bowsher (3-10) with 15 points and Rachel Marter had 12 points.

Delta 66, Otsego 50

DELTA — Brigan Wymer scored 17 points to lead the way for Delta.

Bri Raab made five 3-pointers on her way to 15 points. Abbie Harris added 10 points for the Panthers.

Jessica Roberts tallied 20 points for Otsego.

Tiffin Columbian 53, Rossford 51

Payge Smith hit a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left to give visiting Tiffin Columbian the lead for good.

Jocelyn Cole led Columbian with 18 points, whiile Smith and Valesha Province added 11 each.

Courtney Morris led Rossford with 20 points and Alaina Mitchell scored 14 and Julie Hotz 10.
