With five undefeated champions, Genoa won the Napoleon Gold Medal Duals on Saturday.

The Comets, under coach Bob Bergman, went 9-0 and repeated as team champions with Damian Demilio, Drew Keenan, Jay Nino, and Max Reeder all posting 9-0 records.

Eastwood was second as a team at 8-1, while Bryan was third with a 7-2 mark.

Genoa's dual meet record is 33-3, which has established two school records — most dual victories in a season and most consecutive dual victories at 25. The Comets have an opportunity to set the state record for dual meet wins in a season, currently held by Archbold (40).

Cody Buckner went 5-0 for the Comets, while three others went 8-1 — Brandon Bates, Jake Fejes, and Seth Morrison.

Fejes and Morrison notched their 100th career wins at the meet, while Keenan achieved the mark earlier this year. Reeder is on the cusp with 97.

Eastwood’s Randy Caris (170 pounds) was name most valuable wrestler after posting an 8-0 record. Kyle Patterson was also 8-0, while Brandon Tefft, Brad Radabaugh, Adam Wolf, and Joe Nauman all went 8-1 for the Eagles.

Bryan had two wrestlers that went 9-0 — Shelden Struble and Wes Walter.
