Northview shocks Bedford to give Mules their first loss; Richardson leads Scott with 28; Rogers falls to No. 1 team

Northview 64, Bedford 61

Jeff Czerniakowski scored 26 points Saturday night as host Northview stunned Bedford in boys basketball.

The Wildcats led the whole game, handing the Mules their first loss.

Trailing 41-34, Bedford outscored Northview 27-23 in the fourth quarter but got only as close as 61-60.

Connor Hartnett added 16 points for Northview (8-8), and Adam Downing scored 10.

Jackson Lamb dropped in 27 points to pace Bedford (9-1), while Jake Wise added 12 and Jeremy Harris 10.

Scott 76, Cleveland JFK 71

CLEVELAND — Jermul Richardson scored 28 points to lead the Bulldogs to a road victory.

Chris Harris added 19 and Chris Darrington 12 for Scott (8-7).

Cleveland John F. Kennedy had 18 points, while Donte Lindsay had 17. Rinnie Briggs and Ramond Bell each had 12.

Central Catholic 71, Elida 54

Keith Towbridge led Central Catholic with 16 points.

C.J. Bussey added 15 points for the Irish, which led 27-25 at halftime, while D.J. Moody added 12 points and Deontae Cole added 10.

Dakota Mathias led Elida with 23 points.

Dayton Thurgood Marshall 77, Rogers 73

DAYTON — The Rams came up short against the Cougars, Ohio’s No. 1-ranked Division II team.

Dayton Thurgood Marshall (14-1) was led by Mark Alstork with 21 points. Davion Ashe had 12, while Rachaun Martin and Edmond Early each had 11.

Tony Kynard had 23 for Rogers (9-5). Clemmye Owens added 15 and Tribune Dailey had 11.

Fremont St. Joseph 62, Marion Catholic 45

FREMONT — Hunter Harrison scored 11 points to lead Fremont St. Joseph.

Lane Flowers paced Marion Catholic (2-15) with 25 points.

Lake 52, Woodward 36

Connor Bowen scored 15 points to lead visiting Lake.

Jared Rettig added 13 and Jayce Vancena 11 for the Flyers.

Tahron Watson paced Woodward with eight points.

Springfield 54, Delta 27

Cutis Hassel scored 11 and Dilyn Good added 10 for the host Blue Devils.

Scott Garlinger led the Panthers with 10.

Clay 64, Waite 36

Pat Booth scored 17 points as Clay cruised at home.

Jack Nagy and Kyle Row added 15 and James DeMeo had 10 for the Eagles.

Taywyn Mason scored 11 points to lead Waite.

Liberty-Benton 64, Rossford 40

FINDLAY — Ryan Geise poured in 21 points and John Darnall had 13 for the Eagles (13-1).

The Bulldogs (7-9) were paced by Derek Mack with 15.

Swanton 99, Genoa 55

SWANTON — Paul Kennedy poured in 26 points for the Bulldogs.

Dylan Verdell added 18, Bryce McComb 15, Rocky Robinson 13, and Jordan Schnabel 10.

Grant Adams and Luke Rightnowar each scored 12 points to lead Genoa, while Jake Schimming added 11.

Holgate 37, Miller City 22

HOLGATE — Landon Grim scored 10 points for Holgate (7-10).

Ross Kaufman led Miller City (12-4) with 12 points.

Fayette 50, Montpelier 38

MONTPELIER — Tyler Cox and Cole Burkholder each notched 14 points to lead the Eagles over the Locomotives.

Blaine Thorp scored 23 for Montpelier.

Port Clinton 66,Sandusky St. Mary 59

PORT CLINTON — Nathan Stubblefield poured in 29 points to lead the Redskins.

Brock Moore had 11 points and Ian Kyle 10 for Port Clinton (3-11).

Denarius Harris had 23 points for St. Mary (9-7). Ryan Myers had 13 and Jack Mielke 10.

Liberty Center 61, Pettisville 55

LIBERTY CENTER — Kaleb Pohlman notched 23 points, and Tyler Davis helped with 13 more for the Tigers.

The Blackbirds were led by David Reyes with 18, Kurt Siegel with 13, and Tanner Rufenacht with 12.
