Royals upend Knightsto clinch share of crown

Elmwood 54, Otsego 36

TONTOGANY — Brittany Gross scored a game-high 23 points as the Royals clinched at least a share of the Northern Buckeye Conference girls basketball championship Friday night.

Kristen Curtis added 12 points and Brittany George 11 for Elmwood (17-2, 11-0 NBC).

Morgan McCullough finished with 15 points for Otsego (7-12, 4-8), which trailed 32-18 at halftime.

Woodmore 51, Genoa 34

GENOA — Leah Bench hit four 3-pointers, part of an 18-point performance that lifted the Wildcats (12-7, 9-3).

Allie Wank added 15 points for Woodmore, which dominated the middle two quarters 33-14.

Ciara Albright led Genoa (7-11, 3-8) with 11 points.

Rossford 48, Eastwood 19

The Bulldogs (11-9, 9-4) prevailed at home, with Courtney Morris leading the way with 15 points.

Rossford jumped out to a 25-12 lead at halftime.

The Eagles were paced by Kelsey Weaver’s eight points.

Lake 65, Fostoria 31

FOSTORIA — Ana Henneman scored 14 points to lead Lake.

Alyssa Shaffer added 11 and Catie Phalen had 10 for the Flyers (10-10, 8-4).

Kierra Settles scored nine points to lead Fostoria (0-20, 0-12).

Bedford 36, Monroe 20

TEMPERANCE — Nicole Rightnowar posted 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Mules (12-5) won a defensive battle in Southeastern Conference girls basketball.

Bedford led 15-6 at halfime and outscored Monroe 7-2 in the third quarter.

Alexis Sortor paced Monroe (5-12) with eight points.
