Perrysburg girls top Anthony Wayne to clinch NLL title

Perrysburg won the Northern Lakes League girls basketball title outright on Thursday night.

The Yellow Jackets completed a 14-0 NLL season with a 51-38 home win over Anthony Wayne.

Perrysburg led by just one point at the half. But the Yellow Jackets outscored the Generals 19-9 in the third quarter.

The Yellow Jackets last won an NLL title in 2008-09.

Sarah Baer paced Perrsyburg (20-1 overall) with 19 points.

Megan Bedard led Anthony Wayne (13-8, 8-6) with 13 points.

Notre Dame 45, Central Catholic 38

The Eagles trailed at home by 11 at the half but outscored the Irish 33-15 in the second half.

Tierra Floyd scored a game-high 18 points and Kaayla McIntyre had 13 for Notre Dame (19-3). The Eagles captured the Three Rivers Athletic Conference title with a 14-0 record for the second straight season.

Michelle Murnen scored 12 points for Central (12-10, 8-6).

Southview 41, Northview 35

Northview took a one-point lead in the third quarter, but host Southview responded with a quick 6-0 run that helped put the game away.

Taryn Stanley scored 18 points to lead the Cougars (16-6, 12-2).

Kendall McCoy paced Northview (10-10, 9-5) with 13 points and Maddie Cole added 10.

Springfield 52, Maumee 45

Sydney Powihda led the Blue Devils to the road win, finishing with 16 points.

Asia Goodwin had 13 points and Natalie Yoder chipped in with 10 for Springfield (4-10, 9-13).

Kalena Harris scored a team-high 11 points for Maumee (0-14, 1-20).

Gibsonburg 34, Emmanuel Christian 21

Visiting Gibsonburg led 19-11 at the half and hung on for a low-scoring win.

Hannah Ernsthausen scored seven points to lead the Golden Bears (9-13, 7-7).

Mackenzie McCauley paced Emmanuel Christian (6-12, 3-11) with nine points.

Cardinal Stritch 51, Maumee Valley 40

Katy Rieker scored 12 points to lead Cardinal Stritch (12-10, 10-4) to a road win.

Kennedie Jackson poured in 22 points to lead Maumee Valley (1-20, 0-14).

Whitmer 55, Fremont Ross 33

Four Panthers scored in double figures as Whitmer (16-6, 9-5) cruised at home.

Keshyra McCarver led the way with 17 points, Samantha Meinen added 15, Abigail Sarabia 13, and Jordyn Blood 10.

Abbi Hasselbach paced Fremont Ross (4-17, 0-14) with 13 points.

Rossford 52, Otsego 34

Host Rossford raced out to a 29-13 advantage at halftime.

Courtney Morris and Alaina Mitchell led the Bulldogs (12-10, 10-4) with 12 points each and Margo Jackson scored 10.

Jessica Roberts paced Otsego (8-14, 5-9) with 21 points.

Toledo Christian 48, Northwood 23

The Eagles completed a perfect 14-0 TAAC season with the win at home.

Darian Westmeyer and Mackenzie Harder each scored 11 points, with Harder also handing out six assists. Hannah Wehrle grabbed eight rebounds for the winners, 19-3 overall.

The Rangers fall to 4-17 overall, 4-10 in the TAAC.

Findlay 72, Lima Senior 62

LIMA — Nicole Muehl poured in 22 points to lead Findlay.

Christina McQueen added 16 and Taylor Stanfield had 11 for the Trojans (17-4, 11-2).

Indiya Benjamin led Lima Senior (12-10, 8-6) with 26 points and Stacia Allen scored 12.

St. Ursula 49, Clay 45

Shelby Linenkugel scored 15 points as St. Ursula earned a tight home win.

Megan Burns added 13 and Megan Christopher had 11 for the Arrows (9-11, 2-10).

Sam Charchol paced Clay (5-17, 3-11) with 17 points.

Ottawa Hills 38, Danbury 21

LAKESIDE — Olivia VanSlooten and Allie Dewire scored seven points each to lead Ottawa Hills (11-9, 9-5).

Stephanie Kukay scored five points to lead Danbury (10-12, 9-5).

Oak Harbor 87, Sandusky St. Mary 40

OAK HARBOR — The Rockets had 40 points at the half and cruised to the home win.

Maria Boers poured in a game-high 22 points for Oak Harbor (15-7). Andrea Cecil had 19, Abbie Gezo tallied 17, and Makayla Carpenter 14 for the Rockets.

Hilltop 54, Fayette 42

WEST UNITY — Emily Armbruster and Jackie Smith scored 12 points each to lead Hilltop.

Hannah Bleikamp added 10 for the Cadets.

Mikayla Smith led Fayette with nine points.

Elmwood 51, Woodmore 43

BLOOMDALE — Brittany George scored 22 points for Elmwood (19-3, 13-1) and Kristen Curtis added 11.

Grace Weirich paced Woodmore (12-9, 9-5) with 16 points and Allie Wank had 10.

Bowling Green 44, Napoleon 31

BOWLING GREEN — Hanna Williford led the Bobcats (13-9, 7-7) with 13 points.

Kayla Gerken scored 10 points to lead Napoleon (5-17, 2-12).

Lake 49, Eastwood 26

MILLBURY — Alyssa Shaffer scored 15 points to lead Lake (12-10, 10-4).

Diana Bushman and Kelsey Weaver each scored six points to pace Eastwood (6-15, 5-9).
