Bowling Green selects Seeliger, Port Clinton hires Carmon to lead football teams

Scott Seeliger has been named football coach at Bowling Green.

Seeliger, 63, is a former assistant coach at Bowling Green State University and Wisconsin. He succeeds Steve Aungst, who resigned after three seasons a record of 11-19.

Seeliger, who played at Iowa State, was a high school coach in Wisconsin prior to coaching in college.

Port Clinton, meanwhile, has hired Beau Carmon as its football coach to succeed Toby Hammond.

Carmon was previously a head coach at Fostoria. The Tiffin Columbian graduate also previously served as defensive coordinator at Tiffin Calvert. He played at the University of Findlay.

He succeeds Toby Hammond, who had a 24-66 record in nine years.
