Ryan Fournier rushed for 138 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Eagles won their season opener Friday night at Northview.

Fournier scored on runs of 2 yards and 19 yards.

Northview scored first on a 43-yard field goal by Ross Hanna, but the Eagles reeled off 28 unanswered points.

Clay quarterback Josh Pennington threw for 126 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Row.

The Eagles' Anthony Ramirez scored on a 15-yard interception return.

Northview managed just 90 yards of total offense.

 

Findlay 31, Anthony Wayne 14

FINDLAY — Trojans quarterback Brandon Muehl completed 16 of 27 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns, and running back Austin Gutting ran 33 times for 139 yards and scored two touchdowns in win over the Generals.

Muehl’s TD strikes went for two yards to Grant Niswander, 20 yards to Joe Hammand and one yard to Gutting, who also scored on a two-run yard in the third quarter.

AW’s touchdowns were on passes of 67 and 18 yards, both from Jake Reid to Josh Schwerer.

 

Fremont Ross 64 ,Sandusky 30

The Little Giants took a 28-12 lead into halftime and never looked back en route to the rout of the backyard rival Bluestreaks.

Hunter Trautwein rushed for 222 yards on 20 carries, including touchdown runs of 18, 20 and 38 yards to lead the way for Ross. Jay Moore gained 162 yards on 14 carries, including TD runs of 47 and 95 yards for Sandusky.
