Scott blasts Lima Perry for first victory of season; Woodward suffers first loss

Scott dominated on the ground against Lima Perry, grinding out 401 rushing yards in a convincing win at Start High School.

Trey Brown led the Bulldogs’ rushing attack with seven carries for 67 yards and three touchdowns. Brown ran in twice for touchdowns from one yard out and also scampered in from 10 yards.

Kevin Banks added seven carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns on runs of 17 and 15 yards. Day'Vonta Russell also chipped in with 155 yards on 16 carries.

The Bulldogs defense shut down Lima Perry, holding them to just 97 yards of total offense, as Scott improved to 1-1 on the season.

Toledo Christian 14, Woodward 6

Brett Freeman rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown and passed for 92 and another score for the Eagles (1-1).

In the first quarter, Freeman ran for a five-yard score and threw 39 yards to Austin Salsbury for another.

The Polar Bears (1-1), who ended their 53-game losing streak last week, scored on a five-yard run by Mordecai Brownlee in the second quarter.
