Springfield churns out yards in 38-6 road win over Rossford

Right from the get go, Springfield churned out yards and put up points in a convincing road win over Rossford on Friday night. The Blue Devils scored on each of their first three possessions and rolled to a 38-6 victory. Senior running back Elijah Todd bulldozed his way to 200 rushing yards, averaging 10.5 yards per carry. Todd scored on runs of 20 and 11 yards. Sophomore quarterback Scott Seymour was equally impressive, completing 13 of 20 passes for 186 yards, including TD passes of 28 and seven yards. READ MORE. Balanced attack spurs Central Catholic in 35-6 win over Perrysburg

Three weeks into the high school football season, Central Catholic appears to have the potential for another state title run. The Fighting Irish, winners of the 2012 Division II state title, dominated in all facets on Friday night in a 35-6 victory over visiting Perrysburg at Gallagher Stadium. Beyond the scoreboard — which the Yellow Jackets failed to light up until 16.5 seconds remained in the game — the proof of Central’s dominance was in the numbers. The Irish (3-0) topped Perrysburg 540-213 in total offense, with 73 of the Jackets’ yards coming on their final possession. READ MORE. PHOTO GALLERY.

Collins rushes for 208 yards, Bowsher stays unbeaten with 38-3 win over Northview

Bowsher running back Khane Collins broke loose from a few would-be tacklers early Friday night against Northview. And it was clear the Rebels were on track to break free from an early-season habit of falling behind opponents. Collins gained 119 of his 208 rushing yards before halftime to help visiting Bowsher take a commanding 23-3 advantage into halftime and roll to a decisive 38-3 victory over Northview at Cats Stadium.
