Southview tops Springfield in NLL opener
9/20/2013Southview outlasted Springfield to score a 28-14 victory tonight in a Northern Lakes League tilt at Springfield.
Southview (2-2, 1-0 NLL) capitalized on three Springfield turnovers in the second half to claim the league opener for both teams.
Keith Gilmore rushed for 159 carries on 21 carries, including a 16-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Griffin McDonald completed a 27-yard touchdown pass to Nate Hall and scored on a one-yard carry for Southview.
Springfield's Elijah Todd scored on runs of 10 and 15 yards to lead the Blue Devils (2-2, 0-1 NLL).
