TRAC Football: Korte runs for 242 as Titans top Eagles

Big 2nd half leads to Panthers’ win

St. John's 37, Clay 28

Collin Korte rushed 38 times for 242 yards and three touchdowns and caught another as the Titans won on the road Friday night in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference game.

Following an interception, Korte put the game away for St. John’s (2-4, 2-1 TRAC) with a one-yard TD run with one minute left in the game.

Nolan Silberhorn passed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He found Korte on a 31-yard TD strike and threw a seven-yard TD pass to Pete Burkett.

Clay quarterback Josh Pennington threw for 230 yards and touchdown and also caught a 20-yard TD pass from Kyle Row. Pennington hit Anthony Ramirez on a 42-yard pass to open the scoring.

Ryan Fournier scored a five-yard touchdown and Aaron Seymour added a two-yard score for the Eagles (2-4, 0-3).

Whitmer 35, Fremont Ross 14

At Whitmer, the Panthers (3-3, 2-1) broke a 14-14 halftime deadlock by outscoring the Little Giants 21-0 in the second half.

Freshman tailback Larry Patterson had a sparkling debut, scoring touchdowns on runs of one, seven and 10 yards and totaling 145 yards on 21 attempts.

Matt Winzeler tossed a scoring pass to Chris Boykin and Zac Ryan ran for a short TD run for Whitmer.

Fremont Ross (2-4, 0-3) had Ajayi Patterson return an interception 13 yards for a TD and Jeff Barnett return a punt 50 yards for a score.

Lima Senior 59, Findlay 40

FINDLAY — Juniel Liles rushed 24 times for 210 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Spartans (3-3, 2-1 TRAC) bolted to a 38-17 halftime lead and cruised past the host Trojans (2-4, 1-2).

Liles scored on runs of 33 and and 79 yards and on a 21-yard pass from Justice Graham, who was 24-of-40 passing for 348 yards and five TDs.

Findlay quarterback Brandon Muehl was 30-of-58 passing for 448 yards and four TDs, and Grant McKinniss kicked four field goals for the Trojans.
