Late TD helps Patriots top Panthers

DELTA — Derek Kolpien found Derek Hoops for a 15-yard touchdown pass Saturday with 4:50 left and Patrick Henry won a Northwest Ohio Athletic League football game that was suspended Friday night due to lightning.

Patrick Henry (5-1, 5-0) led 34-27 at halftime when play was stopped.

Delta (3-3, 1-3) took a 35-34 lead after Jeffry McQuillin threw a 16-yard TD strike to Noah Parsons and the Panthers converted a two-point try.

Kolpien threw for 300 yards and five TDs. Kollin Spence hauled in two TD passes, while Zach Nye, Hoops and Brandon Cole added TD receptions.

Tobey Hernandez ran for 188 yards and a 10-yard score as the Patriots racked up 506 total yards to 182 for the Panthers.

Bailey Storeholder of Delta rushed for 146 yards and three TDs. Dylan Nostrant returned a kickoff 74 yards for a score.
