Irish beat Spartans in a rout to claim first TRAC title
The visiting Spartans of Lima Senior ran into a buzzsaw at Gallagher Stadium, as the Irish secured a share of their first Three Rivers Athletic Conference championship with a lopsided 70-26 victory.

It was senior night a Steinecker Stadium, but Perrysburg's junior quarterback Gus Dimmerling stole the show as the Yellow Jackets earned a share of the Northern Lakes League championship with a 42-19 win against Springfield.
Mules stay perfect with 49-0 emotional win
Jack Maison, a linebacker for the Bedford football team, scored the Kicking Mules’ final touchdown in a 49-0 rout of Monroe Jefferson on Friday at Marc L. Cisco Alumni field. Maison scored his first touchdown a day after the death of teammate Colton Durbin, who was taken off life support following a car accident.
Bedford student-athlete mourned during game
At first it felt like a typical Friday football night, but then the crowd hushed. The clicking of cleats against concrete grew steadily louder, and the Bedford football team began to file toward the stadium. Colton Durbin’s family led the Kicking Mules onto the sanctuary of the lit playing field, a day after the youth died from injuries suffered in a car accident.
Wauseon outlasts Archbold 14-13
Wauseon (8-1, 6-1 NWOAL) jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half and appeared to be heading for a runaway win over Archbold (6-3, 4-3 NWOAL) after Axel Bueter gave the Indians a two-touchdown advantage when he plowed his way to a two-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter.
The eyes of Southview quarterback Griffin McDonald lit up all Friday night as he threw three long touchdown passes in a 32-0 shutout of Napoleon.
