Whitmer knocked out of D-I playoffs
11/9/2013HUDSON, Ohio - Hudson handed Whitmer a 31-7 defeat on Saturday night in a Division I playoff matchup at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
The Explorers (10-1) took a 10-0 lead into halftime and never looked back en route to eliminating the Panthers (6-5) from the playoffs.
Whitmer defeated Hudson 39-28 in a D-I playoff matchup last year en route to a state runner-up showing.
Marcus Elliott provided the Panthers with their only score when he returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
