Bedford falls to Bloomfield Hills Marian


BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- Bedford High School fell in five sets on Thursday 26-28, 25-14, 19-25, 25-23, 15-11 to Bloomfield Hills Marian in a Class A volleyball semifinal in Battle Creek, Mich. The Kicking Mules' season ends at 65-10-2.

Kayla Gwozdz led the Kicking Mules' effort in defeat with 18 kills. Teammates Isabelle Marciniak and Nicole Rightnowar each added 12 kills of their own. Setter Mackenzie Andrews paced the Bedford offense with 45 assists.

Bloomfield Hills Marian advances to the Class A championship on Saturday, where the Kicking Mules finished as state finalist a year ago.
