Maumee holds off late Northview rally

Maumee 46, Northview 44

Louie Mauro scored 12 points for Maumee (1-1) and Jason Matcham added 10 as the host Panthers dodged a last-second attempt.

Adam Downing and Aerin West added 11 points each for Northview (0-2).

 

Southview 64, Bowling Green 40

Leon Eggleston paced host Southview with 14 points. Matt Morrison added 12, and Jeremiah Roberts and Nate Hall had 11.

LaMonta Stone led Bowling Green with 19.

 

Woodward 108, Horizon Science 37

Tahron Watson led Woodward (3-0) with 26 points.

Daijour Whittington added 15 and Ramoan Fane 14. Craig Kirkwood and Doukoure Taylor scored 12 each.

 

Anthony Wayne 48, Napoleon 34

Jake Mruzek’s 3-pointer helped spark the Generals, who outscored the Wildcats 15-4 in the fourth at home.

Matt Fox led AW (2-0) with 18 points. Jake Reid added 11 for the Generals.

Michael Gilliland and Blake Dunbar both scored nine to lead Napoleon.

 

Wauseon 56, Holgate 37

WAUSEON — The Indians trailed by two after the first quarter but outscored Holgate 21-6 in the second.

Wauseon’s Noah Castle led all scorers with 16 points, and Jacob Newlove had 12.

Serapio Gonzales led Holgate with 12.

 

Fayette 49, Edon 29

FAYETTE — Koby Biddix scored 16 points while Tyler Cox scored 10 and grabbed 13 rebounds for Fayette.

 

Pettisville 62, North Central 38

PETTISVILLE — Eli King poured in 19 points for Pettisville (1-1). Jeremy Mann added 16 points, and Jacob Reyes scored 10.

Detroit Country Day 70, Start 37

Kendra Jones scored 10 points in a losing cause for the Spartans, who lost at home. Asia Doss scored 18 points for Country Day.

 

Central 71, Clay 55

The Irish won on the road as Michelle Murnen scored 23 points and Alissa Galernik 20.

Morgan Connor paced the Eagles with 20 points while Haley Hess added 12.

 

Notre Dame 51, Whitmer 31

Kaayla McIntyre paced Notre Dame (2-0, 1-0 TRAC) with 10 points at home.

Samantha Neinen tallied a game-high 14 points for Whitmer (2-2, 0-1).

FINDLAY — Sarah Smarkel and Jenny Vielhaber each scored 11 points for Findlay (1-3), while Zoe Swisher added 10.

Alex Richards led St. Ursula (1-2) with eight points.

Julie Hotz poured in 18 points for host Rossford, and Kirsten Keller added 14.

Abby Hesselschwardt paced Otsego with 13 points.

LAKESIDE — Allie Dewire and Olivia Van Slooten both scored 16 points as Green Bears won in Toledo Area Athletic Conference play.

Foster Smith added 14 points for Ottawa Hills (2-0, 1-0 TAAC).

Erin Lavelle led Danbury (1-3, 0-1) with 22 points.

 

Cardinal Stritch 45, Maumee Valley 24

The Cardinals (1-1) were led by Kali Hardy’s 14 points in the road win.

Kennadie Jackson scored 14 for Maumee Valley (1-1).

 

Gibsonburg 51,Emmanuel Christian 18

Danielle Fork led Gibsonburg (1-2) with 12 points, and Katy Roberte added 10 in a road win.

Ceonna Simon had eight points to lead Emmanuel Christian (1-1).

 

Elmwood 54, Woodmore 41

BLOOMDALE — Kristen Curtis (17), Rebecca Harvey (10), Courtney Emmitt (10), and Samantha Ervin all scored into double digits in a home Royals win.

Mackenzie Johnson led Woodmore with 11 points.
