Bowen scores 35 to boost Lake; Bowsher cruises with 124 points

Flyers 9-0 after beating Bryan; Swanton tops Evergreen in OT

Lake 67, Bryan 64

MILLBURY — Connor Bowen scored 35 points — including 14 during the fourth quarter — to help the Flyers rally in the Lake Holiday Classic boys basketball championship game on Saturday night.

Jared Rettig added 12 points for Lake (9-0), which took its first lead with 6 minutes, 4 seconds left in the fourth quarter and remained in front.

Sean Cullor led Bryan (3-4) with 17 points.

 

Cardinal Stritch 81, Seneca East 50

MILLBURY — Austin Adams scored 19 points and Austin Pratt had 15 to lead the Cardinals in the consolation game of the Lake Holiday Classic.

Brooks Gasser added 14 points for Cardinal Stritch (3-3).

Ethan Caudill scored 18 to lead Seneca East (0-10).

 

Rogers 68, Detroit Chandler Park 64

HARPER WOODS, Mich. — Rogers outlasted Chandler Park with a 13-9 advantage in overtime to win in the Motor City Roundball Classic.

Brandon Austin scored five of his 11 points in the extra period for the Rams.

Fadil Robinson paced Rogers (3-2) with 15 points, Cameron Copeland had 12, and Taquans Belcher 11.

Jalen Martin led Chandler Park (1-3) with 20 points, and Joseph Thomas and Labaron Stewart added 15 each.

 

Perrysburg 68, Whitmer 54

Nick Moschetti scored 18 points to lead Perrysburg to a home win.

Quinn Thomas added 15 for the Yellow Jackets (7-0), Matt Kaczinski had 13, and Nate Patterson 10.

Jon Ashe paced Whitmer (2-5) with 17 points, Sam Hickey scored 15, and Montrece Collins had 10.

 

Bowsher 124, Fairport Harding 71

FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio — Dajuan King scored 32 and Nate Allen 30 to lead the Rebels.

Jeff Jones added 16 points for the Rebels (7-1) and Cam White and Mark Washington had 10 each.

Joey Moore led Harding (4-3) with 24 points.

 

St. John’s 54, Dayton Chaminade 43

NEW PHILADELPHIA — Kaleb Vaughn hit a 3 to break a 35-all tie, and Parker Ernsthausen and Anthony Glover combined to hit 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter as the Titans won at the Tuscarawas Central Catholic holiday tournament.

Ernsthausen led St. John’s (7-2) with 14 points while Glover added 12. Vaughn hit three 3-pointers.

C.J. Riazzi scored 21 points for Chaminade Julienne (2-4).

 

Waite 59, Emmanuel Christian 25

Alec Heslet scored 18 points as Waite won the championship game of the Warrior Classic.

Kelvin Downer added 10 points for the Indians (4-4). Phillip Darrington scored nine points and was named tournament MVP.

Jordan Farley led Emmanuel Christian (2-5) with 10 points.

 

Swanton 47, Evergreen 41

METAMORA — Swanton outscored Evergreen 11-5 in overtime to secure a victory.

Robbie Gilsdorf led the Bulldogs with 20 points. Bryce McComb added 10.

Peyton Willeman scored 11 for Evergreen (6-2).

 

Springfield 64, Eastwood 54

Manny Durden had 19 points, and Markese Hicks added 12 to lead the Blue Devils (5-2).

Grant Peters scored 15 points to pace Eastwood (3-4).

 

Fayette 48, Morenci 47

FAYETTE — Skylar Lantz made a free throw with 5.3 seconds left in triple overtime to seal the win.

The Eagles were outscored 19-5 in the fourth quarter as Morenci forced overtime.

Both teams scored two points in the first two extra periods, with Fayette holding a 2-1 edge in the third OT.

Chandler Sanford scored 17 points to lead Fayette (4-2), and Wade Burkholder added 12.

Torin Merillat paced Morenci (3-1) with 12 points.

 

Ann Arbor Skyline 50, Scott 33

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. — Tristan Wilson scored 19 points and Jonathan Muir-Cotton added 13 as the Eagles (2-3) won at the Dearborn Robichaud holiday tournament.

Chris Darrington scored 15 points to lead Scott (4-3), which was outscored 17-6 in the fourth quarter.

 

Defiance 58, Maumee 33

Trey Guilliam scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Bulldogs (8-0) to the road win.

Mitchell Konpak led Maumee (1-5) with 10 points.

 

Oak Harbor 33, Woodmore 30

ELMORE — Anderson Rathbun was fouled shooting a 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left and made all three free throws to give the Rockets (3-6) the victory.

Rathbun finished with 20 points.

Grant Weis led Woodmore (1-8) with 11, while Sean Mullin added 10.

 

Bowling Green 80, Houston 75

HOUSTON, Ohio — La’Monta Stone scored 22 points to pace Bowling Green (2-5).

Trey Walker added 17 and Trent Hinton had 16.

Houston was led by Jacob Braun’s 24 points.

 

Montpelier 52, Hilltop 49

WEST UNITY — Parker Houk pumped in 18 points to help the Locomotives win the Holiday Classic. Alex Matzinger aded 14.

Hilltop’s Milko Abner had 17, while Quinn Smith added 15.

 

Delta 80, Fairview 68

WEST UNITY — Ethan Edwards led Delta with 18 points as the Panthers won in the Hilltop Holiday Tournament.

Noah Munger scored 15, Bailey Monroe 14 points, and Andrew Stickley 10.

Joe Macsoy paced Fairview with 26 points and Daniel Smith added 10.
