Jessing paces victory as Northview honors Sigler

Northview 48, Napoleon 24

Kendall Jessing scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Wildcats won at home Friday night in a Northern Lakes League girls basketball game.

After the game, Northview named its court in honor of former coach Jerry Sigler, who compiled a 675-177 record in 37 years.

The Wildcats (10-4, 6-3) led 22-10 at halftime and used a 17-6 edge in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Courtney Smith and Mia Rausch paced Napoleon (5-8, 2-7) with six points each.

Anthony Wayne 60, Springfield 59

Jasmine Bonivel hit a jump shot with 1.2 seconds left as the Generals capped a wild comeback at home. AW (9-3, 7-2) trailed by 10 points with just 1:30 remaining.

Victoria Burdo hit five 3-pointers on her way to 17 points to lead Anthony Wayne. Bonivel added 12 and Abby Allen scored 10.

Sydney Powhida led Springfield (7-8, 3-6) with 16, Natalie Yoder added 11 and Gabby Teifke 10.

Bowling Green 62, Maumee 31

Reagan Mormon tallied 16 points and Hanna Williford had 14 as the Bobcats cruised.

Livvy Dill and Tyanna Smith each scored 10 for BG (7-6, 4-5).

For the Panthers (0-11, 0-9), Kalena Harris led with 16.
