Little Giants edge Knights in overtime

Fremont Ross 49, St. Francis 43

Grant McConnell's bucket with less than seven seconds left in regulation finished a last-minute 6-0 rally by the Little Giants to force overtime Friday night in Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball.

Jarvis Jones led Fremont Ross (8-2, 3-2 TRAC) with 20 points as the Little Giants outscored the Knights 12-6 in OT.

Devin Metzger led the Knights (2-8, 1-5) with 14 points. St. Francis led 30-25 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ross led 10-7 after the first quarter, but the Knights took a 20-17 lead at halftime.

Lima Senior 56, Clay 51

Jay Thomas led the visiting Spartans (3-6, 2-4) with 15 points, while Rico Strafford had 14 and Ruben Flowers 12 for Lima.

Pat Booth led the Eagles (1-10, 0-6) with 17. Andrew McCrory had 15 and Anthony Ramirez 10.

Findlay 61, Whitmer 34

Findlay led 32-9 at halftime and won easily on the road.

Austin Gutting scored 16 points to lead the Trojans (9-2, 5-1). Grant McKinniss had 14 and Adam Twining 10.

DJ Triplett paced Whitmer (3-7, 2-4) with 10.
