Panthers hold off Eagles for victory

Titans top Little Giants to go 7-0 in league

Whitmer 55, Clay 50

Jon Ashe and Montrece Collins both scored 12 points, and Sam Hickey added 11 as the Panthers held on at home Friday night in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball game.

Whitmer (4-8, 3-4) led 40-27 going into the fourth quarter before the Eagles (2-11, 0-7) got back in the game with a 9-0 run.

Anthony Ramirez scored 15 of his 24 points in the fourth for Clay. Pat Booth added 11 points.

St. John’s 63, Fremont Ross 41

The Titans dominated the middle quarters by a 41-21 count in securing the home victory.

St. John’s (12-2, 7-0 TRAC) was led by Gabe Kynard’s 14 points. He got support from Anthony Glover, Jr. (13) and Parker Ernsthausen (11).

James Wright’s 11 points paced the Little Giants (8-4, 3-3).

Lima Senior 66, St. Francis 52

The Spartans placed four scorers in double figures to win on the road.

Brady Allen led Lima Senior (4-6, 3-4) with 21 points, Ruben Flowers scored 17, Jay Thomas 14, and Rico Stafford 11.

The Knights (3-9, 1-6) were led by Dontay Ellison’s 16 points and Lamar Carswell’s 10.
