Beans ignites Green Bears; Eagles cruise past Lakers

Ottawa Hills 61, Emmanuel Christian 31

Geoff Beans poured in 23 points Friday night to lead the host Green Bears in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference boys basketball game.

R.J. Coil added 10 for Ottawa Hills (10-1, 7-0 TAAC).

The Warriors (4-9, 1-7) were paced by Adam Regnier with seven.

Toledo Christian 59, Danbury 41

Kyle Kempton scored 17 points and Garshawn Paynther added 10 as the Eagles (9-6, 6-2) won at home.

Toledo Christian led 17-5 after the first quarter and 40-14 at half.

Connor Lenthe led the Lakers (2-12, 1-6) with nine points.

Gibsonburg 70, Cardinal Stritch 51

Andrew Cantrell scored 20 points to lead the visiting Golden Bears.

Jordan Kreglow and Tyler Ernsthausen added 12 each for Gibsonburg (12-2, 6-2), while Bryce Ernsthausen had 11.

Jacob Empie led the Cardinals (5-9, 4-5) with 21 points. Austin Adams scored 16.

Maumee Valley 59, Northwood 20

Rashad Woodley scored 10 points as Maumee Valley (9-3, 5-2) won on the road.

Evan LaPlante paced Northwood (0-11, 0-7) with seven points.
