Irish crush Knights; balanced Panthers win

Central Catholic 60, St. Francis 36

DeShone Kizer scored 16 points Friday night as the host Irish rolled in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball game.

Jermiah Braswell had 13 and Marcus Winters added 12 for Central Catholic (14-2, 9-1 TRAC).

The Irish led 15-6 after the first quarter and 33-13 at halftime.

The Knights (5-13, 3-9) were paced by Dontay Ellison with 12.

Whitmer 74, Lima Senior 42

The Panthers placed five players in double figures to earn the home win.

Chris Boykins scored 15 points, while Sam Hickey added 14. Montrece Collins and Jon Ashe had 11 each, while D.J. Triplett hd 10 for Whitmer (8-10, 6-6).

Rico Stafford and Jay Thomas each scored 11 for Lima Senior (6-10, 4-7). Ruben Flowers added 10.

Whitmer led just 15-13 after the first quarter but pulled ahead 30-17 at halftime.

Fremont Ross 53, Clay 40

The Little Giants won on the road behind Drew Solander’s 15 points.

Grant McConnell added 10 for Fremont Ross. (9-8, 4-7).

Andrew McCrory led the Eagles (2-17, 0-12) with 14, while Pat Booth finished with 11.
