Kizer nets 20 for Bowsher; Fayette slips past Evergreen

Scott 88, Start 75

Chris Harris tossed in 38 points to lead the Bulldogs to a victory Saturday night in City League boys basektball.

Scott trailed 24-13 after the first quarter before rallying for a 34-30 halftime edge.

Chris Darrington finished with 27 points and Larry Green 11 for the Bulldogs (12-4, 9-1 CL), who made 25 of 33 free throws.

Chris Adams and Mike Mitchell each scored 23 points for Start (2-16, 1-8).

 

Bowsher 68, Woodward 58

Aundre Kizer scored 20 points to lead Bowsher (16-2, 7-1) to a road win in the City League.

Nate Allen added 16 for the Rebels, Dajuan King had 13 and Cameron White 12.

Craig Kirkwood paced Woodward (9-9, 2-6) with 25 points and Ramoan Fane scored 18.

 

Maumee Valley 66, Hilltop 53

WEST UNITY — Solomon Collins led the Hawks with 16 points.

Marcus Knabbs added 14, Thad Woodard scored 12 and Rashad Woodley had 11.

Miklo Abner led Hilltop with 15 points and Quinn Smith added 12.

 

Ottawa Hills 73, Northwood 35

The Green Bears (14-1, 10-0) get a easy road win as R.J. Coil gets 17 points, Geoffrey Beans 14, Ben Silverman 11, and Ellis Cummings 10.

For the Rangers (0-15, 0-11), Dillan Cathers had nine.

 

Fayette 34, Evergreen 33

FAYETTE — Chandler Sanford hit three free throws with three seconds left as Fayette completed a comeback effort.

The Eagles outscored Evergreen 10-2 in the final quarter.

Kody Biddix paced Fayette (11-5) with 11 points and Wade Burkholder added 10.

Evergreen (8-8) got 12 points from Kyle Brighton.

 

Port Clinton 73, Mohawk 33

SYCAMORE — Carter Rumball scored 19 points and Nathan Stubblefield 12 for Port Clinton (6-11).

Hunter Fitschen’s 14 points paced Mohawk.

 

Southview 70, Clay 64

Matt Morrison and Nate Hall scored 16 points each to lead Southview to a road win. Justin Schaffer added 15 and Jeremiah Roberts 11 for the Cougars.

Anthony Ramirez tallied 23 points and Pat Booth had 12 for Clay.

 

Pettisville 50, Hicksville 35

PETTISVILLE — Austin Dykstra tallied 15 points and Josh Liechty scored 13 in a Pettisville win.

Jonny Giesige paced Hicksville with 10 points.

 

Wauseon 60, Elmwood 28

WAUSEON — Kris Boysel scored 16 points for Wauseon, while Corry Byers added 11.

Aaron Arnold led Elmwood with 10 points.

 

Bryan 57, Napoleon 36

BRYAN — Sean Culler tallied 20 points and Thomas Martin added 16 for the Golden Bears.

Blake Dunbar scored 14 to pace Napoleon.

 

Bowling Green 67, Tiffin Columbian 64

TIFFIN — Mitchell Gardner scored 18 points and was one of four Bobcats to score in double figures in a win at Tiffin Columbian.

Jackson Stewart and Trey Walker each scored 15 points and LaMonta Stone added 14 points for Bowling Green (4-15).

Derek Dryfuse led Tiffin Columbian with 28 points.

 

North Central 55, Montpelier 45

MONTPELIER — Chase Legacy scored 12 points for North Central and Branden Turner added 11.

Parker Houk scored 12 to pace Montpelier.

 

Lake 79, Fostoria 53

FOSTORIA—The Flyers (17-1, 10-1 NBC) keep soaring as Jared Rettig poured in 26 points, and Connor Bowen had 16.

The Redmen (2-15, 0-11) were led by Jayden Stanton with 11.

 

Gibsonburg 66, Fremont St. Joseph 46

FREMONT — The Ernsthausen cousins, Tyler and Bryce, each had 17 points for the Golden Bears (14-3).

Ryan Williams had 14 and Hunter Harrison 13 for the Streaks (9-9).
