Springfield, Central earn sectional wins ; Notre Dame, Rogers, Evergreen cruise

Division I

Springfield 45, Start 34

At Central Catholic, Jewel Rollins scored 12 points to lead Springfield, and the Blue Devils held a 18-7 advantage in free throws made during their Division I girls basketball sectional win on Tuesday night.

Mariah White paced Start with nine points.

Notre Dame 88, Bowsher 13

At Central Catholic, Kaayla McIntyre scored 19 points to lead Notre Dame. Megan Goedde added 10.

Ciera Bryant led Bowsher with six points.

Division II

Central Catholic 54, Woodward 34

At Bowsher, the Irish (16-7) advanced behind Alissa Galernik’s 14 points and Keytha Foreman’s 13.

K’Shawna Barnett scored 22 for the Polar Bears.

Rogers 80, Maumee 19

At Bowsher, the Rams (19-4) kept the defensive pressure on and advanced easily. Sasha Dailey had 15 points, Jasmyne Smith 12, and Sydney Petty, Akienreh Johnson, and Keasja Peace each had 10 points.

For the Panthers, Abbi Schultz had five points.

Division III

Evergreen 74, Northwood 25

MILLBURY — At Lake, 13 different players scored for the Vikings (18-4), led by Kendalyn Noe’s 19 points. Haili Mossing added 15.

Dorna Cruz finished with six points for Northwood

Swanton 53, Otsego 27

MILLBURY — At Lake, Jenna Carr led Swanton with nine points and Maicie Wheeler added eight.

Madeline Asmus paced Otsego with 10 points.

Division IV

Sandusky St. Mary 35, Maumee Valley 26

GENOA — Dani Parish scored eight points to lead the Panthers.

Kennedie Jackson poured in 18 points for the Hawks. They were only 5 of 20 at the free throw line.

Southeast Michigan

Bedford 45, Tecumseh 16

TEMPERANCE — Nicole Rightnowar scored 15 points to lead Bedford (15-4).

Kelsea Kaliszuk led the way for Tecumseh (7-12) with six points.
