Boys basketball: Bradfield sparks Anthony Wayne to win over Rogers

Max Bradfield had 23 points as the Generals turned back the Rams in a nonleague boys basketball game Saturday.

Max Denman scored 16 for Anthony Wayne (5-3).

Christian Smith had a game-high 20 points for Rogers (2-6).

ST. JOHN’S JESUIT 70, HOUSTON ST. THOMAS 51

SAN DIEGO — Braydon Lichtenburg had 20 points and the Titans hit 9 3-pointers in beating the Saints at the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic.

Ryan Christie had 14 points, and Houston King scored 12 for St. John’s (6-2).

Max Vojloh had 18 points for St. Thomas (9-9).

FREMONT ROSS 48, CLYDE 44

FREMONT — Bryce Root had 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, including going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, to lead the Little Giants by the Fliers in a nonleague game.

Trey Campbell had 11 points for Fremont Ross, and Maliek Johnson scored 10.

Cameron Farrar had 16 points for Clyde, and Derek Harrah scored 11.

ELMWOOD 61, OLD FORT 39

BLOOMDALE — Matthew Cline had 20 points as the Royals won a nonleague game against the Stockaders.

Zach Weiss had 10 points for Elmwood.

Jacob Webb had a game-high 22 points for Old Fort.

DEFIANCE — Delano Smith had 23 points, and went 9-for-9 at the free-throw line, as the Eagles (8-1) got a nonleague win over the Pilots.

Ethan Schlachter had 17 points, and Christian Zachrich scored 13 for Ayersville (5-2).

MAUMEE VALLEY 68, FAYETTE 39

Zeb Jackson had 17 points as the Hawks beat the Eagles in a nonleague game.

Jaiden Woodley had 12 points, and Dez Jett scored 11 for Maumee Valley (6-2).

Noah Brinegar had 11 points for Fayette (6-4), and Travis Wagner scored 10.

EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 41, SWANTON 29

The Warriors used a 12-5 run in the second quarter to get separation and held on to beat the Bulldogs in the consolation game of the Emmanuel Christian tournament.

Jailon Walker had 11 points for Emmanuel Christian (2-5), and Caden Williams scored 10.

Hunter Mix had nine points for Swanton (4-4).

PATRICK HENRY 36, HOLGATE 26

NAPOLEON — Kaiden McGraw led the way with 13 points as the Patriots defeated the Tigers in the Napoleon tournament.

Cody Sonnenberg was the leading scorer for Holgate with 12 points.

SANDUSKY ST. MARY 61, PORT CLINTON 52

SANDUSKY — J.J. Fisher had 29 points as the Panthers beat the Redskins in a nonleague game.

Dylan Christian scored 11 for St. Mary (5-3).

Port Clinton (0-7) was led by Max Rumbarger’s 17 points and Sam Diaz’s 15.

BAY 84, CLAY 61

NORTH ROYALTON — RJ Sunahara had 32 points to lead the Rockets to victory in the North Royalton Holiday Classic. 

Clay (3-7) was led by Trey Reddick (16 points), Josh Meinke (11), and Reese Wamer (10).

FINDLAY 74, DAYTON MEADOWDALE 68

FINDLAY — Four Trojan players scored in double figures as Findlay defeated Meadowdale.

Ryan Nunn led the Trojans (6-3) with 26 points, and Jacob Logsdon had 18 points. Ryan Ross had 17 points, and Adam Gutting scored 11.

Jaboli Leonard led Meadowdale (2-5) with 24 points.
