Boys Basketball: Start, Southview score road wins

START 57, FREMONT ROSS 37

FREMONT — Three Spartans players scored in double figures, led by Nick Neely with 12 points, as the Start boys basketball team prevailed on Saturday night.

Alex Perry and Tyrik Barbine each had 11 points for the Spartans (9-3).

Trey Campbell scored nine to lead the Little Giants (3-6).

SOUTHVIEW 44, WHITMER 35

Zech Miller scored 14 points, Christian Waganhauser added 11 points, and Tahree Horn 10 as the Cougars (12-1) notched a road win.

Leon Hughes led Whitmer (8-3) with 14 points.

NORTHVIEW 69, BRYAN 58

BRYAN — Sam Clear scored 21 points, Alek West had 13, and Colton Snow 11 as the visiting Wildcats (11-0) won.

Zhane Cupp led the Golden Bears (5-5) with 24 points. Peyton Lamberson added 12.

DUBLIN COFFMAN 76, SCOTT 44

Dominiq Penn scored 15 points and Will Hunter added 14 points as Dublin Coffman (11-1) won a battle of nonconference schools.

Cedric Quinn led the Bulldogs (1-11) with 15 points, and Marquise Brown added 10.

OTTAWA-GLANDORF 78, FINDLAY 69

FINDLAY — Jay Kaufman scored 25 points, Owen Hiegel 19, and Ethan White to lead the Titans (11-0).

The Trojans (7-4) were led by Ryan Ross, who scored 20 points, Jacob Logsdon (17), and Ryan Nunn (17).

GENOA 75, TIFFIN COLUMBIAN 48

GENOA — Jake Plantz scored 21 points, all in the first three quarters, as the Comets won at home. Andrew Bench added 19.

Jared Akers led Columbian with 14 points.

WOODMORE 46, MARGARETTA 42

ELMORE — Mitchell Miller scored 24 points to lead the Wildcats (8-2), who were bolstered by Drew Burner’s 11-point effort.

Dylan Morris led Margaretta (3-7) with 18 points. Bailey Kimberlin added 12.

ARCHBOLD 68, OTTAWA HILLS 50

Rigo Ramos scored 16 points, Bryce Williams added 11, and Caleb Wooley and Travis Ziegler both added 10 for the visiting Blue Streaks.

Eliot Cummings led the Green Bears with 12 points.

WAUSEON 51, DEFIANCE 31

WAUSEON — Brooks Gype and Austin Rotroff each scored 12 points for the Indians in a nonleague matchup.

D.J. Dobson scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter to lead Defiance.

ELMWOOD 64, LIBERTY CENTER 50

BLOOMDALE — Matthew Cline scored 17 points for the host Royals (6-6). Clay Stearns added 10 points.

Liberty Center was led by C.J. Spradlin’s 14 points.
