In Division I, 6-2 seniors Ashlynn Brown of Perrysburg and Ariel Cummings of Notre Dame were each named to the All-Ohio first team.

Brown, the Northern Lakes League and Northwest Ohio district player of the year, helped the Yellow Jackets to a 19-3 regular-season overall record and a first-place 14-0 NLL mark while averaging 17.0 points and 8.3 rebounds.

Cummings, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference player of the year, helped the 10th-ranked Eagles to an 18-4 overall regular-season record and a 14-0 championship season in the TRAC while contributing 11.4 points and 7.8 rebounds.

As a junior, the University of Toledo bound Cummings helped Notre Dame to a 2017 D-I state runner-up finish, scoring 28 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the state-semifinal upset of top-ranked and previously unbeaten Newark.

Brown, who will play at Southern Indiana, was a second All-Ohio selection last season.

Both Notre Dame and Perrysburg lost in last week’s regional semifinals.
