Posey handles scoring in Rangers' victory
Scott Posey scored two touchdowns and passed for the other last night as Northwood remained undefeated in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference with a 20-0 victory over Toledo Christian.
Posey (50 yards) scored on runs of seven and five yards in the second and third quarters, respectively, then passed 11 yards to Andrew White in the fourth. He also passed for a two-point conversion after the to Tommy Nehring, who intercepted an Eagle aerial.
Jeremy Cousino carried the ball 16 times for 85 yards to lead the Rangers (6-2, 3-0).
Jarret Ensign caught nine and 49-yard touchdown passes from Brian Schenko (9-of-13, 134 yards) to lead the Lakers (4-4, 3-0), who were helped by five Green Bears' turnovers.
Grant Kozy scored on a two-yard run for Ottawa Hills (1-7, 1-2), which had 180 yards rushing and 185 passing. But the game's first score was also OH's last despite compiling 22 first downs to Danbury's 13.
Aaron Crooks caught eight passes for 101 yards and Matt Netter rushed 16 times for 100 more. Sam Miller was 15-of-20 passing for 162 yards.
LORAIN - Adam Sockel scored on 7 and 10-yard runs for the home team, which led 28-0 at the half.
Stritch fell to 0-8 and 0-3.
