Central Catholic and Northview claimed easy victories last night in the girls Division I basketball sectional at Clay.
Central (18-3) was in control over Scott (3-12) after a 23-8 first quarter margin and won 84-34.
Brianna Jones led the Irish with 19 points and Danielle Lewis and Sharise Calhoun added 10 each. Twelve players scored for Central.
Relvon Wyse led Scott with 12.
Northview was up on Southview 16-2 after one quarter and won 45-25.
Kelsey McCoy led Northview (16-5) with 11 points and Katelyn Dobson had 10.
Tiffany Scott led Southview (11-10) with 11 points.
NORTH CENTRAL 28
BRYAN - Natelee Schaffner scored 13 points to pace Hilltop.
Lacey Landis scored 12 for North Central.
TIFFIN CALVERT 54,
TIFFIN - Calvert rolled at Columbian as Amber Smith led a dozen scorers with 15 points.
EASTWOOD 47, LAKE 29
MILLBURY - Eastwood trailed 27-25 after three quarters before finishing off Lake with a 22-2 blitz in the final quarter.
Clay Rolf had 10 of his 17 points in the decisive quarter and led Eastwood (14-5, 10-3 SLL) with seven rebounds.
Miguel Mata led Lake (3-16, 2-11) with eight points.
ELMWOOD 71, LAKOTA 56
BLOOMDALE - Preston Shank poured in 26 points and Thomas Curtis added 14 as Elmwood rolled.
Brett Filliator led Lakota with 16.
Lakota hit more 3-pointers (9 to 5) but Elmwood controlled the boards 31-21 and forced 13 turnovers and committed just nine.
WOODMORE 49, OTSEGO 47
ELMORE - The Wildcats pravailed as Corey Witker scored 24 points, Chris Jacobson had nine points and six rebounds and Aaron Haar had seven points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Matt Weisenborn scored 22 for Otsego and Seth Childers added 15.
ARCHBOLD - Gene Goering had 20 points and Trey Smith added 18, with four 3-pointers, for Archbold.
Ethan Schroeder led Edgerton with 18.
MORENCI, Mich. - Josh DuPree scored 28 points, Dave Gust had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Cody McCartney added 17 points for 16-2 Whiteford.
Jacob Bovee led Morenci with 16 points.
SMCC 50, FLAT ROCK 45
MONROE. Mich. - Kurt Lehmann scored 15 points and hit 5 of 6 free throws late in the game to seal the win for St. Mary Catholic Central.
Devon Crain led Flat Rock with 20 points.
