Free throws help Rangers slip past Danbury 45-43

Northwood converted from the free-throw line late in the game, with Becca Bisbee hitting five foul shots, as the Rangers rallied past Danbury 45-43 Friday night in Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls basketball.

Danbury led 26-21 at halftime, but Northwood outscored the Lakers 12-6 in the third quarter.

Shayna Hague scored 10 for Northwood (6-9, 4-5 TAAC).

Christine Longer notched 14 points for Danbury (7-8, 4-4).

Ottawa Hills 53, Maumee Valley 8

Lauren Abendroth notched 11 points and eight rebounds to lead the Green Bears.

Katherine Jamieson added 10 points for Ottawa Hills (14-1, 9-0 TAAC).

The loss drops Maumee Valley to 2-11, 1-7.
