Rossford tops BG as Leahy tallies 26

Zach Leahy scored 20 of his 26 points at the free-throw line to lead Rossford to a 70-68 win over visiting Bowling Green last night in Northern Lakes League boys basketball.

Leahy, who was 20 of 22 from the line, also pulled down 12


Mitchell Stewart added 13 points for the Bulldogs (12-6, 7-6 NLL).

BG (12-6, 10-3) was led by Chauncey Orr's 31 points.

Xavier Brown added 21 for the Bobcats.

Maumee 56, Northview 52

Jake Schneider scored a basket late in regulation to tie it and Maumee went on to win in overtime.

The host Panthers (5-12, 3-10) got 11 points from Jon Hall. Damon Contat and Anthony Barnum chipped in 10 each.

Jake Zureich led the Wildcats (3-15, 3-10) with 14, Jacob Sturt had 13 and Jarred Bowens added 12.

Springfield 77, Anthony Wayne 68

Chester McFadden scored 16 of his 30 points in the third quarter for the Blue Devils (14-4, 9-8).

Leroy Alexander added 22 points for Springfield.

Brad Celusta paced Anthony Wayne (1-17, 1-12) with 27 points, while Reed Allen and Mark Donnal each scored 11.
