GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Brittenham powers Lake over Rossford

Kaysie Brittenham scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to lift the Flyers over the visiting Bulldogs Saturday night 42-37.

Lake outscored Rossford 16-4 in the second quarter.

But the Bulldogs fought within 30-29 at the end of the third before the Flyers pulled away.

Kasey Geraghty led the Bulldogs with 16 points, and Abbey Geraghty added 10.

Fremont St. Joseph 42, Cardinal Stritch 36

FREMONT — Taylor Flick scored 19 points and collected 8 rebounds to lead St. Joseph, which outscored Stritch 20-10 in the second half.

Kady Schnedier led the Cardinals with 16 points.

Findlay 55, St. Ursula 45

FINDLAY — The Trojans took a 22-19 lead into the half and then expanded it with a 22-point third quarter.

Findlay's Danielle Sallisbury connected on three 3-pointers in the decisive quarter and finished with a game-high 26 points.

St. Ursula was led by Maddie Strall, who scored 12 points.

Bowling Green 55, Eastwood 30

PEMBERVILLE — The Bobcats jumped out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Hayley Williford led BG with 22 points, including five 3-pointers.

Alanna Heestand paced the Eagles with 10 points in the season opener for both teams.

Archbold 57, Edgerton 47

ARCHBOLD — Alicia Drewes scored 14 points to lead the winners as nine Archbold players put points in the scoring column in a victory over Edgerton.

Hannah Griffin led the Bulldogs with 12 points, who trailed by only seven points at the end of the first half, but were outscored 11-5 in the third period.
