Coach: Keith Dawson, first year

Last season: 5-5, 5-0 CL

Returning letter winners: 23

Returning starters: Offense 3, defense 7

Schemes: Spread/3-4

Top players: Seniors Keandre Gilmer, 6-0, 188, LB; Milton Roberts, 5-11, 175, WR-DB; Jalon Phelps, 6-0, 182, LB-TE; Dominic Jones, 6-2, 170; Joshua Taliaferro, 6-1, 165, WR-DB; Saul Gilmore, 6-2, 185, OL-DL.

Outlook: Rogers is locked in on trying to repeat as the City League champion. The Rams' new coach takes over a talented team that is a favorite to win it all.

Taliaferro returns as one of the top skill players in the area. He hauled in 19 passes for 422 yards and scored six touchdowns last year.

Jones is being handed control of the offense, while Roberts is also expected to be a playmaker.

The Rams' concerns are a lack of experience on the offensive and defensive lines. However, with a team led by 17 seniors, Dawson believes he will see continual improvement.

"The team will continue to improve on chemistry between the players," Dawson said. "The team has a desire to learn and they're dedicated to continue to improve. Our strengths are we are quick and agile and they have great attitudes."
