DELTA — Haili Mossing poured in 23 points to lead Evergreen to an overtime win Friday night in Northwest Ohio Athletic League girls basketball.
Delta outscored Evergreen 17-10 in the final quarter to force the overtime period. The Viking
Mossing scored six of Evergreen’s 10 points in the extra period as the Vikings improved to 2-4, 1-2 NWOAL.
Brigan Wymer paced Delta (4-4, 1-2) with 23 points and Abbie Harris added 11 points.
Archbold 53, Bryan 32
BRYAN — The Blue Streaks dominated the second quarter 14-0 to pull away.
Cassidy Williams came off the bench to score 15 points, while Cassidy Wyse added 10 for Archbold (8-0, 3-0 NWOAL).
Hannah Schimmoeller scored 14 points to lead the Golden Bears (2-4, 0-2).
Wauseon 45,Montpelier 34
WAUSEON — Alyssa Reed scored 18 points to help Wauseon.
Annette Stidham added 10 points for the Indians.
Montpelier committed 27 turnovers, while Wauseon made just 12 times.
Lauren Dye paced Montpelier with 20 points.
Swanton 71,Liberty Center 27
LIBERTY CENTER — The Bulldogs got off to a quick 16-3 start and coasted.
Bethann Lumbrezer had 16 points to lead Swanton (3-3-, 2-1 NWOAL) and Maicie Wheeler had 10.
Niki Meyer led Liberty Center (1-6, 0-3) with 10 points.
NBC: Morris has 18 as Bulldogs hand first loss to Comets
Rossford 48, Genoa 34
Rossford jumped out to a 14-2 lead after one quarter and went on to a 48-34 home win Friday night over Genoa in a Northern Buckeye Conference girls basketball game.
Courtney Morris scored 18 points and Alaina Mitchell added 14 for the Bulldogs (5-1, 4-0 NBC).
Morris and Mitchell each had four points in the opening period, while Morris added 10 in the second period.
Haley Pickard had 12 points to lead the Comets (5-1, 2-1).
Lake 44, Otsego 39
TONTOGANY — Jordyn Taylor scored 21 points to lead Lake.
Alyssa Shaffer added 12 points for the Flyers.
Lake trailed by six points after the third quarter, but outscored Otsego 18-7 in the fourth quarter.
Lindsey Donald and Jessica Roberts paced Otsego with 11 points each.
Woodmore 45,Fostoria 24
FOSTORIA — The Wildcats outscored the home team 20-5 in the middle two quarter to pull away.
Mackenzie Johnson scored nine points to lead Woodmore (4-3, 3-1 NBC).
Kierra Settles and Erica Moore each scored six for Fostoria (0-7, 0-4).
Elmwood 52,Eastwood 32
BLOOMDALE — The Royals used a 20-7 third-quarter burst to pull away.
Kristen Curtis scored 12 points to lead Elmwood.
Presley Weaver finished with 11 points for Eastwood, while Diana Bushman added 10.
Area Girls: Stryker slips past Fayette; Mules fall
Stryker 57, Fayette 56
STRYKER — With the final seconds ticking off the clock, Fayette had a chance to take a game-winning shot Friday night in girls basketball.
But Stryker was able to get a block shot in the lane to seal the win.
Conner Barner had 23 points to lead Stryker (4-4), while Conner Sullivan had 11.
Taylor Griffiths had 20 points for Fayette (4-2), while Alexis Fruchey had 14 and Kaela Seiler scored 10.
Dexter 34, Bedford 19
DEXTER, Mich. — Emma Kill paced Dexter (5-0) with 12 points.
Malorie Sampson led Bedford (3-1) with seven points.
NLL: Northview squeaks by
Northview 56, Bowling Green 55
BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green missed a shot with three seconds left, and Northview held on for the victory in Northern Lakes League girls basketball on Friday.
Kendal Jessing paced Northview with 17 points, while Maddie Cole added 10 points.
The Wildcats made five of six free throws in the fourth quarter, while Bowling Green was 0-2 at the line.
Hanna Williford led the Bobcats with 18 points.
Perrysburg 67, Maumee 17
The Yellow Jackets rolled to a 20-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to the easy road win.
Sarah Baer and Allex Brown each scored 13 points to lead Perrysburg, while Katie Dunthy added 10 and Lindy DeLong scored all of her eight points in that first-quarter rush.
Joeal Olman scored six points to lead Maumee.
Springfield 33, Napoleon 22
NAPOLEON — Natalie Yoder scored 13 points, and Tori Collins added 10 points to lead Springfield to a road win.
Courtney Smith led Napoleon in scoring with seven points.
Springfield led 16-7 at the half and held on to win the low-scoring contest.
Southview 45, Anthony Wayne 28
Bailey Hejl and Taryn Stanley each scored 11 points to lead the Cougars (4-2).
Southview used a big third quarter (20-3) to open up the game.
Raechel McKay led the Generals (5-2) with seven.
