Liberty Center edges Tinora in 3 overtimes

Liberty Center 21, Tinora 14

TINORA — Liberty Center's Kaleb Pohlman rushed in from one-yard out in triple overtime and the Tigers’ defense held off Tinora for a dramatic win Friday night in a season opener.

The game was tied at 14 at the end of regulation.

Anthony Righi rushed for 131 yards on 27 carries to lead Liberty Center. He scored on a 58-yard run in the first quarter.

Pohlman also threw a touchdown pass to Konnor Kohlman on a 38-yard strike.

Tinora's Derek Drewes caught a touchdown and threw for another touchdown.

 

Wauseon 57, Fairview 20

SHERWOOD — Ty Suntken scored three touchdowns for the Indians.

Suntken ran for touchdowns of 11, 22 and 18 yards in the first quarter to help Wauseon to a 44-6 lead at halftime. He finished with 77 rushing yards.

Axel Bueter led Wauseon in rushing with 122 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Nate Suntken, Mason Craeger and Kris Boysel also scored touchdowns for the Indians, who finished with 381 yards on 41 carries. Ty Suntken went 8 for 10 passing for 78 yards.

Fairview quarterback Andy Robinson was 27 of 45 passing for 295 yards with one passing touchdown. Robinson also ran for a 1-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

 

Archbold 14, Hicksville 0

HICKSVILLE— Evan Wyse rushed for 213 yards and scored a first-quarter touchdown for the Blue Streaks.

Levi Wyse added a TD in the final quarter for Archbold.

 

Bryan 69, Van Wert 31

BRYAN — Quarterback Austin Schimmoeller passed for 368 yards and six touchdowns, plus ran for two more scores as the Golden Bears romped at home.
