Raiders hold off Cardinals

KANSAS — The host Raiders (3-0) built a 14-0 halftime lead and hung late to edge Cardinal Stritch.

Dakota Bowling returned an interception six yards for Lakota’s first touchdown, and Collin Timmons added a one-yard TD run before the Cardinals rallied in the third quarter.

Stritch (0-3) got a 24-yard field goal from Jonathan Grayczyk, then pulled within 14-10 on an 18-yard TD pass from Chris Blazevich to Grant Curavo.

The Raiders got a fourth-quarter score on Jordan Jaso’s 26-yard run before Blazevich passed 71 yards for another TD to Curavo.

Stricth topped the Raiders 157-106 in total offense.
