NBC: Rettig throws 6 TD passes for Flyers as Lake wins 63-34; Rossford gets shutout win

Lake 63, Woodmore 34

ELMORE — Jared Rettig passed for 340 yards and six touchdowns as Lake outlasted Woodmore in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.

Rettig completed 20 of 23 passes and also added a 44-yard touchdown run. Brandon Short rushed for 170 yards and two TDs as Lake (5-0, 2-0 NBC) rushed for 334 yards in the game. Adam Duncan scored on an eight-yard run.

Rettig's longest scoring passes went to Todd Walters for 76 and 69 yards. Walters finished with 189 yards receiving. Also makiing TD catches were Duncan, Nick Walsh and Zak Greenlese.

Jake Matwiejczyk rushed 29 times for 158 yards and three TDs for Woodmore (3-2, 0-2). He was 19 of 28 passing for 268 yards and two touchdowns.

Malacki Brown caught a 57-yard TD pass for the Wildcats and Brad Bringman caught a four-yard TD pass.

Rossford 55, Fostoria 0

FOSTORIA — Rossford (3-2, 1-1) dominated on the ground, churning out 320 rushing yards .

Cota Sinclair led with 10 carries for 176 yards and one touchdown. Dylan Losiewicz added two TD runs, while Nick Wagner and Charlie Moore rushed for one score each.

Kyle Sherman passed for three TDs — to Sinclair for 12 yards, Anthony Carasone for 25 yards and Noah Asmus for six yards.

Alex Navarro led Fostoria (0-5, 0-2) with 11 carries for 70 yards rushing.

Otsego 35, Elmwood 14

TONTOGANY — Cole Gorski amassed 79 yards rushing, 113 yards receiving, and scored three touchdowns to spark the Knights. He had nine carries and six catchs.

Cody Downs ran for a TD and completed 13 of 22 passes for 186 yards and two scores for Otsego (3-2, 1-1), which led 28-0 at halftime. The TD passes covered 11 yards to Schyler Scherff and 54 yards to Gorski.

Austin Isaacs led Elmwood (1-4, 1-1) with 71 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
